Alex can seem sweet when you first meet him, and someone you can trust but will reject you when you get closest to him. His religion will get in the way in the friendship and doesn't leave room for his significant other. In summary don't trust Alex.

someone who claimed that the only reason someone wouldn’t want to be his slave is an obstacle of depression that he can cure by arguing about his entitlement
Alex tried to enslave me, and when that didn’t work he criticized my “mind” for not thinking that he’s the greatest and godliest being that has ever survived birth.

Alex pursues my cooperation with such a vehement disregard for the negativity of his behavior that his arguments of righteousness look like an insult.
