Highwayku

Also known as a “haiwayku”. The 3 line message on a city’s traffic sign that warns of upcoming traffic problems or encourages positive behavior to avoid a horrible traffic death, fine, lifelong imprisonment, or other socially undesirable quality such as being a disease spreader.

There is no formula to the number of syllables required like in a haiku, but a properly formed highwayku may contain a pun or other play on words leading one to believe it was written by a dad.

I saw another stupid Highwayku today while driving to Grandma’s for Christmas. It said:

“Jingle Bells
Speeding smells
Slow down, wear a mask”

phrase for RVs, pickups pulling humongous Camper Trailers, Holiday Camper Vans , including Minivans, driven leisurely by visiting tourists often in a foreign land trying to take in all the sights and everyone of these drivers going way slower than posted speed limits on major Highways

Highway of Horror

A pun for Canada's Highway 401, which is nicknamed the "Highway of Heroes." It is in reference to the fact that the 401 is almost always a completely awful mess of cars and trucks that are almost always bumper-to-bumper with one another.

"I was stuck on the 401 for hours the other day. It certainly is the Highway of Horror."
