A group of people that will not stand being made fun of, and will piss and moan relentlessly until you stop....Regardless of the fact that they too will make fun of certain groups of people (Preppies or 'conformist', for example). They are no more "original" or "intelligent" then the skaters, the goths, the preps, or any other "clique" you can dream up. They all look like carbon copies of each other, as they buy all their shit from the same store. Most emos' family have enough money to buy them clothes that actually FIT them, and AREN'T RIPPED or TORN or FADED, but they insist on dressing like that; not because they necessarily like the style, but because thats the way they're supposed to dress. So, as opposed to buying clothes that make them look like they can afford to buy shit that doesn't come from the Salvation Army, they come to school looking like homeless people, providing a big ol' slap in the face to those people who can't afford to piss away their money on clothes that look 4 years old. Not all emos cut, however, because most of them don't have the balls. It will take an emo longer to get over someone dumping them then your average teen. I don't understand why someone would dump an emo, though. It's always been my ambition to date a whiny, suck-ass bitch baby that decided to turn their non-existent problems and pet-peeves into a fashion statement. Even to all you emos that actually do come from broken homes and have real problems, THRIVING ON THEM WONT HELP YOUR SAD ASS GET OVER IT. You're not doing anything more then sending a big old 'fuck you' to all the other people who have problems and are making a genuine effort to over come them, as opposed to becoming misery's bitch.

A style of dress and music adapted generally by white teenagers of the U.S and U.K. Used by many people(many of the definitions on this topic being evidence of this)as something to hate and bitch about with little justification. The dress style includes drain pipe trousers, black hair with a long fringe swept to the side, sripes, the colour black, also the colour white but only when combined with black. Many talented band are hated because of there emoness examples including My Chemical Romance, Hawthorne Heights, Fall Out Boy etc. Emo stereotypes include heavy depression, self harm and self obsession. In the majority of cases these accusations are false

Emo. Who knows what it really is, like honestly? Some say its a genre of music, "fags" who sing about there failure relationships, and mostly, people who wear tight pants, strum a guitar to a suicidal song and cry all day. But who is to say that any of these definitions are wrong? We all have different opions; and noone can say one's opion is "stronger" than another opion(in this case)fore, I cannot find a legible source and or person who made the word up. Moreover, if you do find a source, there is still no real evidence to where it really came from(If this was so, Im sure it would be listed in dictionary.com).
Some of the different things that people label as "emo" are(Note, some labeled/accurate definitions may not be included, and im just giving the general examples):

a lame attention seeking kid who wears a lot of dark colors, skinny jeans, belts with special metal studs on them, and hair that covers half their face as though doing that will prove they disapprove of mainstream society. then they go home and ask their parents for money and eventually will get over how lame they are grow up to become yuppies.
