Feminism (noun)
The advocacy of women’s rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.

Feminism at its core is about equality of men and women. Critics argue that equality is not possible because women are not the “same” as men. However, feminism advocates equal rights and equal access to opportunities. Men and women do not have to be the “same” to have the right to equality.

As a social activist, Gloria Steinem was instrumental in bringing feminism to national attention in the late 1960s.

Different to what many believe feminism is to raise awareness to every genders issues NOT just women’s issues

Feminism has the word FEM (meaning feminine or female) is at the start of the word because women DONT have equality towards men.

Feminist- stop cat calling (men and women)
Feminist- stop harassment (men and women)
Feminist- stop sexualising things (Men and women)

Feminism 

A fight for gender equality and rights for women. Like the fight for rights in the LGBTQ+ community, but you bash it because you can't stand the handful of toxic feminists and you decide that it shouldn't exist.

I am a woman, and feminism is why I can vote.

Feminism 

What feminism used to be

A fight for equal rights between men and women. Such as the rights to vote and own land. It was a good cause.

What feminism is now

Still a good cause, most women have gotten basic human rights, but we still fight for the ones who don't. There are also many other things such as d/m/stic v/olence (o, m, i) and r/pe (a) that are still very large problems that need to be solved. Intersectionality is also something that needs to be studied more in depth. I am in no way saying that men do not have these problems too, I am just saying it is more common that women have these problems. You can be a feminist man.

Feminism is a rad cause that anyone can support. It also includes trans women and non binary people.
