it's like the verb form of situationship, when romantic tensions continue between two people, but never fully come to a defined relationship you just keep dragging it out together ...kind of like edging...you keep approaching the climax, but in this case you never do...

Are they togther? No, but they've been relational edging for years

Wordle Edging

The act of someone holding their Wordle solution until the 6th & final guess which leads into a more pleasant sense of Wordle satisfaction. This can be for self gratification or for the pleasure of the people with whom you are sharing your Wordle Solution Grid via text or social media.

I almost blew my load by inadvertently solving on Guess 3, but I was able to intentionally hold off and solve on Guess 6, successfully Wordle Edging right up until the last possible moment and seeing that lovely “PHEW” for a very satisfactory outcome.

I almost got too excited and solved on Guess 3, but I was able to Wordle Edge and hold my solve until Guess 6. Seeing “Phew” in all caps after Wordle Edging as long as possible really puts a smile on my face all day.
