A condition (subject to debate over whether or not it's a disability) which people like to make fun of and use as an insult, when in actual fact, they know nothing about it. I can tell you that autism's not an entirely negative thing and some people think it's the next step in evolution due to the intelligence of some autistic people (you seen Elon Musk or Greta Thunberg?) and can make people successful in life.
Now I won't ignore the fact that there are some deficiencies, as it can make people a little on the sensitive side and a little socially awkward, and in the case of classic autism (autism that's not considered high functioning/Aspergers), it can lead to some speech delays etc, but people get successful in life, you know.
(I wrote this definition as a teen (15 years old) who was tested for autism at the age of 5, and as a teen who was never told the result by their parents. I have a suspicion I was diagnosed, but once again, I was never told.

It's almost like they're on an acid trip their whole life. Some are silly, smart or violent/temperamental and extremely difficult to raise and comfort with their psychological conditions. As they get older the mind does not mature properly and can remain in an adolescent state their whole life while still being highly functional adults that even have careers.
One of my biggest challenges as a camp counselor was making sure the autistic children were also having a good time.
