google translate sings

Google translate sings.

A funny gig on YouTube by a wonderful singer named Malinda Kathleen Reese, who feeds the lyrics to well known pop songs into Google Translate, through several languages perhaps, and then back into English. She then sings the silly translation that come out, to the original music. A new use for the internet, Google Translate meets YouTube.

Urban Translator

One who creates fake definitions of words and ends up getting one of the top definitions for their creativity and comedy with the definition. Similar to an Urbanizer.
Person: His twisted definition got top 3!
Person 2: Yeah he's an Urban Translator

who will probably end up ruining this
site by hiding definitions completely.

Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal

A rather large creature that likes to eat things.

The Ravenous Bugblatter Beast is so mind-bogglingly stupid that it thinks that if you can't see it, it can't see you. Therefore, the best defense against a Bugblatter Beast is to wrap a towel around your head.
Alas, my great aunt Susan was devoured by a Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal. She did not have a towel handy. And they are very very ravenous beasts.

Lost In Translation

1)When something is translated into another language, and sometimes translated back into the original language, and because of differences of the languages some of the original meaning is lost.

2)Whenever someone re-does something in a new medium (for instance, a movie based on a book) and, due to differances between the mediums, some details and the original meaning is not present.

3)A movie that came out in 2003.
1)See larstait's post for a good example.

2)"Did you like the new Harry Potter movie?" asked Maria. "No," answered Sharon. "They couldn't include all the details that were in the book because then the movie would be too long. A lot of the characterization and subext was lost in translation."

3)I really liked Lost in Translation. And if you didn't, your opinion can't possibly be worth anything, you must be an idiot or a philistine. No, I didn't just imagine the subtext, it's there and it's very moving!
