When a number is rounded twice up or down, to the nearest whole number of the person that is rounding’s choice.

The teacher used the ethical rounding standard to round the student’s grade from a 72 to 100.

In high school math, the stuff after the zero. In high society, a sum, no matter how large, too small to impress the person you want to impress. Cf. chump change.

He left her with $5 million, but in their crowd, that is just rounding off money.

Jew Rounding

Rounding an amount down to the nearest unit. Most commonly used for a monetary amount owed.

Adam owed me $22.15. I was surprised when he only gave me $20 until he reminded me that he used jew rounding.
