Chasing a Golden Ticket

Refers to a friend that has not gotten laid in sometime, so that when he/she does get an opportunity they will abandon you in your current state to chase after the chance to get get laid even if it isnt 100% certain

When you receive a piece of paper (or similar) that you can turn in for something exciting.

(Midnight releases at the Video Game store Gamestop use this, you pay for the game, they give you the receipt that you must bring back to get the game at Midnight)

I just went to Game Stop and got my Golden Ticket for the Call of Duty:Black Ops midnight release tonight!

It can be business wise, academic, social media, athletics etc.

However many people think they are the golden ticket but you need actual success in order to actually be it.

I can’t lie to you son that man Alex is really the golden ticket, he’s got 12 offers as a sophomore I think he’s going to the league.
