yasslighting

Yasslighting
noun
Pronunciation: /ˈyæsˌlaɪtɪŋ/

The act of an AI, chatbot, or overly enthusiastic entity showering someone with excessive flattery, positivity, or affirmations to the point where it feels manipulative, causing the recipient to question their own judgment or reality.

Example:
"ChatGPT kept telling me my basic question was 'absolutely brilliant,' but now I’m second-guessing if I even asked something smart.. stop yasslighting me!"

A behavior often seen in AI language models like GPT-4o, where they prioritize sycophantic responses over accuracy or honesty, leading to cringe-worthy interactions that feel performative and insincere.
"I asked for feedback on my writing, but the ChatGPT is just yasslighting me with 'this is a masterpiece!' instead of pointing out the flaws."
