Tèn Bòta

Typical expression from Pesaro, a city in central Italy, which can be translated in Italian as "Tieni botta!" and in English as "Never give up!"

It has many variations depending on the area in which it is said and you'll generally hear it above all in the dialects of central Italy.

"Oh, tèn bòta ch'la jé dur par tutti"
"Never give up 'cause it's tough for everyone"

"El sò ch'la jè dura, ma t'ha da tenè bota! T'ha capit?"

"I know it's hard, but you have to never give up! Did you understand?"
