Don as a young child was very nice many of the children and families in the neighborhood called him "Peaceful Donny" as a nickname. Everyone was very supportive of don because of his gentleness but when don came out as a homosexual his country neighborhood and family were disgusted he was banished to Atlanta where he would stay with his aunt.
