Wish Complex

Just wishing for something to happen everyday/everytime. But you don't want it to actually happen so you can carry on wishing. Even if the thing you want brings you happiness. You still put up with what you have still wishing for the better. Even if you have the opportunity to get said "wish". You'll do anything out of your power to avoid doing it.

Guy 1: I wish i had a netflix account, I'll just put up with the ads on these sketchy websites(123movies etc)
Guy 2: Just buy it, it'll be worth it.
Guy 1: Yeah I want to, I just, I don't know.
Guy 2: Hesitation? Sounds like a wish complex to me.
