Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake

A remake of the 1988 JRPG Dragon Quest III released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC in November 2024. In the months leading up to its release, the game became controversial for its censorship of the late Akira Toriyama's character designs and the removal of gendered terms when referring to the protagonist. The controversy reached its peak when a viral interview with Dragon Quest creator Yuji Hori revealed that the changes were made solely to comply with Western regulations, coupled with developer and publisher Square Enix's attempts to scrub the video from the Internet. Upon release, the game sold moderately well but was poorly received by many fans of the series due to the aforementioned changes.

Everyone who was involved in censoring Mr. Toriyama's work for Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake needs to apologize at his grave.

To diagonalize somebody means, for example in psychotherapy, to point out incoherence / inconsistency in somebody's beliefs, also can be used in an argument in a more confrontational manner. Speaking in terms of computer science and math, diagonalization is related to stuff like: Lawvere's theorem, oracles, proof by contradiction

When the plot of an action series devolves into: good guy fights strong bad guy, loses, gets stronger, then defeats strong bad guy. strong good guy then finds an even stronger bad guy, vice versa. Some examples of Dragon Ball syndrome are Power Rangers, My Hero Academia and Skibidi Toilet.

Why do people watch that stupid toilet gmod thing? it's plot is the textbook definition of Dragon Ball syndrome.
