What is poo mining, I hear you ask with great interest? It is another name for anal sex. The reasoning being that:
- It involves a deep, dark hole
- It involves a shaft
- There certainly isn't any gold to be found in the cavities of this mine
- If you put a canary in there it would almost certainly die from the fumes

The tube in which sperm comes out of during ejaculation is the "Mine", while the workers are the sperm that come out. Workers in the Mines can be used as an innuendo for vasectomy or vasectomy reversal.
Vasectomy ex:
"I went to the doctor to get the workers trapped in the mines."
Vasectomy Reversal ex:
"I just felt bad for all those workers in the mines that need to get free"

When news outlets throw out every nugget of information they have, no matter how insignificant, during a national tragedy to garner traffic.

Someone who deliberately entices others into showing sympathy by utilising social media with non-descriptive &/or ambiguous statements designed to invite further questioning and therefore garnering sympathy with their purported issue.
She/He/They are always sympathy mining on Instagram. Eg: poster: “Well that’s that then…” friends of poster “What’s up? Are you okay?”

Adding features to software by finding them buried in an epically large code base. Typically sitting unused.
Fixing that error on the home page added a shiny graph.?
Where did that come from?
That code has been there for years?
Whoah that's some good feature mining.
