You are on the train with your mates on your way to the nearest city to go shopping. Then Joe, one of your mates, suggests that you should go to McDonalds. But then Nick, a proper ledge, like everything he says is pure banter, suggests "Why don't we all go for a cheeky nandos". And everyone is like "Woah this guy is an absolute ledge". Yeah everything he says is an absolute smasher. Then you all you out for cheeky nandos.
Joe
- Maybe we should go to McDonalds.
Nick
- Why don't we all go for a cheeky nandos.

A MESSAGE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE PART 1: in the following paragraphs I will try to explain this British term to the best of my ability and knowledge. There is a whole cultural background that you need to know about before you can finally understand the term 'cheeky Nandos' completely. Let's start by talking about Nandos. As you might already be aware Nandos is a portuguese themed restaurant that sells chicken. The chicken comes in different spicy flavours with 'lemon and herbs' being the least spicy of all. Relatively speaking Nandos is a nice affordable restaurant in the UK which is very popular among young people. It is the next best thing after all your normal big known brands such as McDonalds (Also known as Macccers, which sort of rhymes with suckers) and KFC and all the fast food chains. In comparison, Nandos is much more fancy, as it a 'proper' restaurant. It is therefore common for young people to take their dates to Nandos, if they are really fancy the girl and thinks it's worth it. Generally speaking, Nandos is very famous amongst working class families for weekend dining and amongst working class youngsters for special events. Nandos has been running in the UK for quite some years already, so it is very well known. So now you understand more or less how deeply Nandos has influenced British culture.
