The proper pronunciation for the product Jira by Atlassian is 'jai-ra', despite not being spelt that way.

Truly intelligent people pronounce it 'jai-ra'.

I've had a problem with my Jira ticket... Excuse me, did you mean 'jai-ra'? Don't be ignorant in the way it should be pronounced.

Po-ra

Used to create rhymes with the name Laura (also known as Laurax). The term's origin was created by a cat named Darkweaver (or Dark for short). It was used by Dark to make a cute sentence that would rhyme with the name Laura. At the time Darkweaver did not have an English word in mind which would go well with her friend "Laura". That's where the word "po-ra" came in. The word works as a placeholder both as something cute and something sounding cute.

"Laura is such a po-ra", would mean "Laura being her typical self and she is cute like that".
