Default Friend

When your mom/spouse/friend leaves you alone in the room with a person you just met and it's getting way too awkward. Default friends are usually started if you know the person who left you is going to be gone for a while.
You start to talk; and gee, what do you know- a Default Friend has been made!

Hollow Friend

A friend on a social networking site such as on MySpace that no longer gets on and is just used to "appear" like you have more friends than you really have.

Person 1: "Who is XxnightmasterxX" ?
Person 2 "oh you know dude its that one guy"
Person 1 "what guy"?
Person 2 "you know...that guy"

friends with benefits

Friends that meet for sex as often as possible. They know little about what the other does when they are not together. Dont ask, dont tell. Meetings can be prearranged or last minute booty calls. Neither is willing or able to become more than a causal sex partner for whatever reason. It's all about the sex.

Two people meet. The attraction lead them into bed. They mutually agree to continue to meet occassionally for sex and just be friends with benefits.
