Throughout the 1960s, among hippies, this was an alternative phrase to "kill the pig" where pig referred to the police. "Off the pig" was an almost Zen like chant meaning to kill the "pig" or hatred within one's self.

Describes someone who frequently shoots up and has sex. Junkies (anyone who shoots up) call a syringe a rig, presumably because it transports the drugs.
