Because of its location, long winters, and lack of a campus culture, copious amounts of alcohol are consumed throughout the academic year.

People would prefer less of them. It has a negative price and it is with a negative value to the consumer. Therefore, Universal Pollution is a kind of bads (opposite of economic goods).
