Tanupa means Pran Shakti. Pran means life force and Shakti means energy(feminine). Therefore Tanupa is the feminine life force inside of you. It can also be defined as the cosmic energy in you. It is not to be confused with the soul. We have three shaktis(energies), prana(life), chitta(mind), and atma(soul).
The beauty of the word Tanupa is that it is from Sanskrit, a language in which words are written in a way that it has an energy/vibration attached to it, as you say it. Therefore every time Tanupa is said, the life energy vibration that the word is meant to create positively not only affects you but Tanupa herself.
