In 2022 following unprecedented inflation, McMaster failed to respond to its teaching assistants union's request for contract renewal months, resulting in a strike. On Twitter, David Farrar tweeted saying news of TA's hardship had made the board of governor so horny that they couldn't get out of their circlejerk for 5 months (thus couldn't respond to the union during that time).
The admin circlejerk continued its operation everyday during the TA strike, with no one coming to the table (despite union representatives being at the table every day), thus prolonging the strike.

Hym "Can I just go on for a second about how fucking dope Baldur's Gate 3 is? It's so dope! I feel like they had me in mind when they were making it and I love it. The gameplay is great. After you get the illithid flight perk for evolving your parasite, your up button on the d-pad changes to fly instead of jump but for some reason it inevitably always default BACK TO JUMP. But that's all just petty stuff. An INSANE amount of replay value! The Dlc possibilities are endless. I'd like to see a Race Dlc that lets you play as Lionin or Aracoan? Is that what it's called? The Birdman? It's great. I'm playing a Transgender Female Drow Ranger/Rogue! You probably thought this was about 'universal basic income' or something but no... It just Baldur's Gate 3."

People try to treat people impudently and act as if they are not accepting their punishment when other people take what they dish out but accept their punishment when people do not take what they dish out to avoid being not left off the hook. If someone tries to treat you impudently or unjustly and you just take what they dish out then that person gets to treat you impudently.
It's necessary to an extent for some humans to have someone they can treat impudently so they can blow off steam with or for some for other purposes which may be sadistic. For someone to have a certain positive emotion it is not necessarily the case that someone else has to experience an equal emotion in magnitude but negative; however, it most certainly can work that way and some people try to treat other people unjustly, impudently or just straight out wrong but do it in such a way that they can be left off the hook and in some cases get that person's consent.
