a racial slur used by white british people from the 1960s to dehumanise and devalue the desi community. It was not just directed at pakistanis, but indians and bengalis too - white idiots cannot tell tbe difference. Only those from the desi community (pakistani, bangladeshi, indian) can say it. No, afghans and sri lankans can't say it, as this term was not directed at them. I don't care how much afghanistan was involved with india or pakistan in history. This has nothing to do with it. If you say the word paki and you aren't pakistani, bangladeshi or indian, then you're a racist.

“Paki” is an offensive slur used by people that aren’t south asian. It is often used to offend people from the south asian community, including Pakistanis, Indians and Bangladeshis.
People from these places are allowed to say the word. It basically means “curry muncher” and just a way to assault brown people.
It’s pronounced “pah-kee” and is sometimes used by Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis to call eachother for banter.

1. It is used against alot of South asians. But its most offensively used against Pakistanis. ***only Pakistanis can say this word*** because the word is *meant* for them, and even tho other South asians can be mixed up with them, its still just for Pakistanis. You could say its similar to the c slur, which is used against Chinese people specially, but other East asians get called it too. Because this word is specially for Chinese people, only they can reclaim it. Well its the same for the use of paki.
2. Many other South asians, white people, and black people use this word against people of Pakistani origin, and most Pakistanis have been called it by a non-pakistani before.
3. The word first originated as a slur in the 1960's, and is still used today. No, its not a shortened term of Pakistani, its a slur only Pakistanis can reclaim.

Pakistani person: "Oii paki come here"
Pakistani person: "You're my favourite paki"
