This imputation is a common tactic to avoid engaging with uncomfortable patterns or systemic analyses, dismissing them as “anecdotal” or “overgeneralizing” without engaging the actual argument.

The capacity of a logical system to produce an infinite number of valid inferences from finite premises—the property that underlies creativity in reasoning, theorem‑proving, and argumentation. It is the source of both innovation and error, as the same generativity that produces brilliant hypotheses also produces false patterns and conspiracy theories.
