This is either commonly used when someone says ''R@ped/R@pe'' or ''Ret@rd'', so they dont get criticized for saying those words.
Most Commentary/Rant Youtubers use it to not get their video taken down.

Essentially the N-Word Pass but instead of black people, autistic people can have this, and say the r-word "retard".
