Sick puppy syndrome

A Syndrome where said member of a relationship is a sick puppy.

Symptoms: Constantly following boy/girl around, talking longer than 3 hours on a phone.
Cure: A third wheel.

A man or woman with an illness that dates a normal healthy person. People with low self worth will look at a "sick puppy" and see that them as cute, needy, and feel attracted because they believe they can fix or comfort the person and find purpose for their own life. It's also a way to escape rejection or being dumped, because it's hard to get dumped when the sick puppy dies.

Since his divorce Larry likes to chase sick puppies. He wants to fix them to make himself feel important. He found a sick puppy in England, traveled to her, and porked with her while she was in hospice.
