Linsanity

The 2012 craze brought on by former Harvard grad and NBA D-Leaguer, Jeremy Lin. After going undrafted out of college Lin spent time in the NBA D-league. Eventually the 2012 NY Knicks picked up the rising athlete to fill the spot of habitually injured Baron Davis. When given the opportunity to play due to injured superstars Carmello Anthony and Amare Stoudemire the young star excelled to the point of becoming a national icon.

Did you just see Jeremy Lin score 38 against Kobe and the Lakers? That was Linsanity!

Linsanity

To truly come out of nowhere and, like a Disney fairytale, dominate those around you like they are unworthy to be in your presence. It is different than being "Tebowed," which implies being beaten by someone with inferior skill and talent, but who was once capable of excellence at a less-than-elite level.

Linsanity, simply put, is an awe-inspiring display of talent by one who was unrecognized of possessing such talent by the "experts" in that particular field.

Max K: Did you know that Manny Pacquiao was once a sea urchin in the streets of the Philippines, unknown to the world, before becoming an 8-time world champion in boxing?

Floyd M: Really, that is pure Linsanity!

When a seemingly average, unspectacular person suddenly erupts with success and develops a ridiculous cult-like following.

Rick: You gotta check out sportscenter. This guy who was cut by his old team just ripped off 20 points and 10 assists 4 games in a row! They say he's the best pg in the league!

Tom: How are you already wearing a t-shirt with that guy's face on it?

Rick: Apparently his tears can even cure cancer!!

Tom: Sounds like linsanity to me...

is a kind, selfless girl who anyone would be lucky to know. A Lindsey makes an amazing friend and is always there when you need someone to talk to. Anywhere she goes always ensures plenty of laughs and happiness, and her brown eyes are almost as big as her heart. She despises drama and never causes it, and one of her main goals in life is to just keep the ones she loves happy. She does have bit of a dirty mind, but is an extremely fun person to hang around with especially when it comes to trying new things. She is a beautiful girl both appearance and personality-wise, even though she can't see it. She asks for little but overall deserves so much more, and makes one of the best girlfriends any guy could want. But if u get on her bad side on advice RUN FOR UR LIFE!

Linsanity

The mania surrounding New York Knicks Guard Jeremy Lin. He is most well known for his sudden apperance, and him being cut multiple times. He is also a Harvard grad. He is also the first Taiwanese-American to play in the NBA.

Guy 1: Dude this jeremy lin guy is really good.
Guy 2: I know, he is "linsane" on the court.
