A retired rock group best known for songs such as "I'm a Believer," "Last Train to Clarksville," "Daydream Believer (Cheer Up, Sleepy Jean)," and "A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You." While they disbanded and reformed several times since their inception in the 1960's, they ultimately remained active for well over fifty years before embarking on a farewell tour that concluded in November 2021.
The Monkees were composed of four musicians. Three were American, and one was British. They are as follows:
-George Michael Dolenz, Jr. (Micky Dolenz; Born March 8, 1945)
-Robert Michael Nesmith (Michael Nesmith; December 30, 1942 - December 10, 2021)
-David Thomas Jones (Davy Jones; December 30, 1945 - February 29, 2012. Yes, he died on leap day.)
-Peter Tork (Born Peter Halsten Thorkelson; February 13, 1942 - February 21, 2019)
