Some people say that a gay couple in Kansas were attacked by Saint Bernard dog on May Day sometime in the 80s. After having received a blood transfer from the attack it contracted AIDS. This origin is disputed against the claims of it originating Iowa after a standoff between a meth head and the police. Taking place on May Day in the 70s, strong evidence suggests this is the origin. After a short fire fight, the meth head and the neighbor’s Saint Bernard were killed. Since the meth head was raging homosexual, it could be inferred that the term Gayer than a Saint Bernard on May Day came from that.
