Social Syphilis

A condition suffered by those considered socially undesirable. Unlike the STD, physical pain is not a side effect. The most noticeable symptom is an outcast status among friends and coworkers.

Social Syphilis is usually contracted as a result of a bad public breakup, embarassing youtube video, or facebook fight. After being diagnosed, one is typically shunned by others, and is unlikely to enter a romantic relationship for a significantly long period of time.

Didn't you see her big breakup on facebook? She and Tom had a huge fight, he called a whore, and now she's got Social Syphilis. Nobody's gonna touch that bitch.

Social Commerce

Where consumers band together online to influence, collectively, the price of a good or service, a form of social shopping and reverse pricing.

A website or mobile app that reduces the prices of its products or services for every like or tweet that potential customers generate as a group is using a form of social commerce. Or when consumers get their friends to buy a sufficient number of ecommerce coupons, they are engaged in social commerce. In effect, consumers are banding together online to influence the price at which they are willing to buy and companies are paying their customers to do their marketing for them.

A phenomenon where an individual's sleep patterns are misaligned with societal demands, often resulting from lifestyle choices, such as staying up late on weekends and waking early during the week. This misalignment can lead to feelings of fatigue and decreased productivity.

After staying out late with friends over the weekend, I experienced social jetlag on Monday morning, struggling to adjust back to my early work schedule.

The proper attribution or way to describe introverts. Introverts are not antisocial, they are simply differently social.

Shy folx are not antisocial. They do infact socialize and engage with people. Their approach to social engagement is different. Shy folk or introverts shouldn't be labeled antisocial; they should be referred to as differently social.
