A word to skirt around 2 very different slurs, one being racist that every other definition in UD will explain, & the other being "Retard," because it starts with an R & "Tard" is also a slur.
There has been no study on the divide between the use; Generational, regional, financial, or racial, outside of the fact that the use for r3t@rd is very common outside of the USA but still used in the states. Both groups up until 2023 seem to have been completely unaware of the alternative use for the term, due to cultural or social differences & a lack of communication between cliques.

It wasn't until the Linus Tech Tips podcast that people learned there were two uses for the Hard R, & neither of them were good.
