Pole Axed
The pole axe was a weapon used in medeival England. It was literally an axe atop a long pole. Originally the term meant to be killed with such a weapon; it later came to mean being violently killed with any such weapon or instrument.

"Hey! Check out that cute Gnotem Pole that lady had carved out of that tree trunk!"
"Yeah, sweet! The top one looks like Dopey from the Seven Dwarves!"

Slang term for a member of the LDS faith. Refers to the vision of Nephi in Nephi Book 1 Chapter 8. Can be combined with "Joey" to make "pole-touchin' Joeys."
"Here, have some of my homebrew."
"No thanks."
"Why, are you a pole-toucher or something?"
"Mom, can I watch an R-rated movie?"
"No honey. Now run along to church with the rest of us pole-touchin' Joeys."

The ranking of your hoes. Similar to a totem pole. The best hoes are at the top. Sometimes your hoetem pole tells a story. Sometimes it's just for show.
