Deactivated

A person who has had sexual intercourse, but is no longer sexually "active." A person have not has sexual intercourse for at least six months to be considered "deactivated."

When filling out medical records you wonder where is the box referring to those who have not had sexual intercourse in so long the can't remember the last time. This is comparable for shoe shopping. You want to purchase the shoes, but you haven't used your credit card in so long it is now "deactivated"

deafhood

The concept is empowering for Deaf people because of the history of discrimination deaf individuals faced. Many deaf individuals faced audism, a new term meaning to discriminate based on the inability to hear. Deaf people historically have often been considered incapable of abstract thinking, since they lacked speech to express thoughts.

I am not deafness because I am not sick! I was born to be deaf and have a great journal in my life. It's my Deafhood!
