That one asshat who always appears on the chat board whenever a clip from a beloved classic movie or historical event is played, only to loudly boast how much better everything was back then, how men were more manly, women more womanly, and how everything that came after was just “woke” garbage, thus ruining the experience for everyone else.

You idiots all got this fucking wrong. The correct spelling of “internet troll” is actually TRAWLER. The term “troll” comes from TRAWLING FOR ARGUMENTS - like a fishing trawler. Fishing trawlers slowly drag bait or nets behind them and wait for fish to bite. Therefore; if someone leaves a comment on the internet as bait for an argument, they are “trawling” for an argument. Someone who practices trawling for arguments would therefore be coined a “TRAWLER”.

You people are idiots. The term is actually “trawler.”

They have skills to manipulate subjects such: Changing subjects, remixing subjects, closing subjects, opening new subjects, or connecting other subjects to a subject. They are humorous and creative, and they have strong imaginations and fantasies. Often they are calm and happy, as they have the ability to filter the offending words and convert them to compliments. For education purposes, they can debate about the topics they don't know, even they can lie. Some people can recognize them fast, ignore them, or just act like them. And some people can't recognize them and argue with them seriously. These people hate Trolls in general, usually, they are with a low sense of humor

Troll For a Day

When a board suffers from group think and stagnation, sometimes one poster will create a new account and log in to tweak the other posters into a flame war. The Troll for a Day will announce they are a TFAD (TFADing) and everyone will congratulate the regular after getting over their murderous impulses for bringing the community back to life. Some argue that TFADing is a valid tactic for a board administrator to re-spark interest in a community and should be applied when the situation requires it as long as all suspecting members are silenced in a swift fashion.

Posters on message boards who have experienced this behavior will immediately try to label all newcomers as "Troll For a Day".
