Part of a pathetic attempt to reduce France's status because it doesn't support an unjust and imperialistic war. Those who invented this term seem to have forgotten that France gave us the Statue of Liberty and a huge chunk of territory known as the Louisiana Purchase. Not to mention that America would still be a British colony if it weren't for the French. Come to think of it, the world would be better off if there wasn't any United States.

Get the freedom fries mug.Guitar-heavy American rock music of the 1970s. The phrase originated in 1987: "Freedom Rock" was the title of a sold-only-on-TV music compilation. The memorably cheezy commercial featured two aging Cheech and Chong-type hippies sitting at the back of their Tour van; as I recall it, Hippy #1 hears what Hippy #2 is playing on his radio and asks, "Hey, man, is that freedom rock?" Hippy #2, says, "Yeah, man!" and Hippy #1 enthusiastically replies, "Well, turn it up, man!"

Get the Freddy Fazbore mug.Born Farookh Bulsara in Zanzibar on September 5th, 1946, Mercury was the lead singer of the legendary rock band Queen, said to be second in popularity and collectibility in the UK next to the Beatles. Known as the greatest frontman that ever lived, and a homosexual, he was among rock's first AIDS casualties. He died on November 24th, 1991, but is still remembered today by his serenading voice and powerful lyrics.
