A summertime friend is someone who comes around sometimes. They only need you when you are doing something for them. They are not true friends and do not serve a purpose in your life. In fact, they are probably toxic people who do not need to be in your life.

Katherine is a summertime friend because I stopped giving her free items from my shop. She is now best friends with someone else who she is using just as she did me.

clingy friend

a person who is usually attached to you a lot, doesn't like when you don't pay attention to them, needs to be around you or else they may feel underappreciated etc.

One person starts talking to someone else for a while.
Person 2: Hey! I'm talking to you still! Oii pay attention!
Person 1: *ignores them*
Person 2: may feel ignored and annoyed (even if it's only once)

clingy friend is basically where you need to KNOW a lot about the other person eg. where they are, why they're doing something, how something is going.

they can be quite nosy and needs to know very irrelevant details. it can sometimes come off as stalker like.
