A person, whom in a group setting, dominates the conversation. This is regardless of people walking away or losing interest.

Try to avoid the alpha talker at the party or we will be standing there, awkwardly listening to his stories and opinions all evening.

A person who starts off talking about a subject that they lead you to believe they are well-versed but when probing questions are asked, they change the subject.
