The Pretty Girl Complex

This complex involves a cognitive distortions around beauty, value and safety. Cognitive distortions are irrational thoughts that can influence one's feelings and behaviors. A belief that not being the prettiest girl by social comparison usually by definition of an ideal beauty standard, could lead to physical danger may be an example of "catastrophizing," where an individual unconsciously predicts that the worst possible outcome is likely to occur.

I struggle with The Pretty Girl Complex, so I haven't been going to parties because I can't emotionally regulate or have fun when I see other women getting more attention than me.

They put her face on the cover of Wired because she was AI pretty - then they got a bunch of E-mails suggesting she wasn't a real person because nobody could be that good-looking.

A girl/woman that works in a warehouse 8/10/12 hours a day, is not conventionally attractive, but men find her very attractive, as they have to see her long periods of time. These men usually have wives and/or girlfriends, and like to flirt with the warehouse pretty girls.
