In the automotive field, a technician orders parts 1 part at a time, rather than thinking ahead and ordering all the parts neccessary to do the job.

Tech 42 isn't a really organized technicican, he string orders his parts rather than thinking things through and requesition all his parts at once.

The sailors used this one in the old Navy days and still do. Before you go off for a long, lonely voyage, get yourself a tall jar and fill it completely with earthworms.
