The collective term for the rich and famous subset of society who frequent fashionable restaurants and nightclubs. The comings and goings of these trendsetters and socialities are often noted by the press and gossip columnists. It was one such scribe, Maury Paul (pen-name: Cholly Knickerbocker), who coined the phrase “café society.”

That ditzy socialite is a member of the cafe society who has nothing better to do than see and be seen at the hippest restaurants and clubs in NYC.

- People who hate the group of twitter stans who call themselves café owners.
- There’s not really a reason for this, except that they’re jealous of not being included. So sad.

- Obsessed with tweeting about how the café owners are a disease and have no lives, but apparently don’t have enough of a life for themselves to stop tweeting about them.

- Get weirdly annoyed by two word phrases.
