Steven After Not Surviving. After Steven, from the show Steven Universe died, he was buried. His body turned into a skeleton, but because he was a crystal gem he stayed alive. But because he was buried, he sank into the Underground, the setting in which the game Undertale takes place. He needed to think of a name so he thought of a name that would represent who he was. Steven After Not Surviving. The reason Sans is depressed is because he doesn't want to forget the crystal gems he used to be friends with.

Sans is from Steven Universe, not Earthbound.
