way back in the day the word retarded was considered proper terminology when referring to people with mental disabilities nowadays the word retarded or retard is used as a hurtful slurs against people who have mental disabilities
john has autism he is sitting in the cafeteria at school with his friend susie while eating lunch together a mean bully comes walking up to their table and says to susie your friend is retarded to which susie replies how mean of you my friend is autistic he is not retarded

Get the retarded mug.The word “Retard” is used to offend a most likely disabled person. For example: a person that has a learning disability. From personal experience being called a retard is very hurtful to me and it left me thinking I was useless and utterly stupid (which I am but whatever). Just don’t use it unless u can actually use it. It’s a bad slur and yeah for whoever is reading this remember to drink water everyday and have a great day :)
