The term for when someone is involved in a single car accident while intoxicated, and files an insurance claim the following day which lays blame on a fictional deer (or dog, cat, raccoon, etc.) which jumped in the road and caused the accident.
It could also be used describe a drunk driving accident cover-up told to a spouse, child, police officer, or anyone who would seriously frown upon drinking and driving.
