Typical Mailers

A term used to describe people who conform to the usual or expected standards and patterns of behavior, often seen as lacking creativity or originality. It's often used in a negative or dismissive way.

1. "I'm tired of hanging out with these typical mailers, I need some new friends who think outside the box"

2. "This company is full of typical mailers, no one dares to speak out and share new ideas."

Them Types

A group designation which often has a negative connotation. Grouping may be based on many different factors such as sex, race, sexual orientation.

"hey. Look at those kids with those markers."

"Yeah, I really don't trust Them Types."

subliminal typing

Similar to a Freudian slip, when a person types what they are subconsciously thinking instead of what they meant.

Subliminal typing, unlike Freudian slips, don't need to be sexual.

Girl: Yeah, I'm really tired.

Guy: Yeah, I bed.

thought typing

Typing one's thoughts as one thinks them. When thought typing, the writer sends his thoughts from his soul and brain via his nerves to his fingertips which merge with the keyboard's keys which are connected to the computer and display the words he thinks and types on the screen.

'Thought typing’ transcribes one's thoughts to a computer screen. 'Thought writing' transcribes one's thoughts onto a piece of paper.

'Thought writing' and 'thought typing' are not the same as writing. Writing asks the brain to articulate a thought or emotion one feels and writes down the clause or sentences the brain has articulated.

Canon-Typical Violence

Canon-Typical Violence is a tag on the fanfiction site Archive of our Own (often shortened to AO3). It means that all violence shown will have beleivable reasons. For instance, a fanfic that takes place in medieval times would be considered canon-typical if it used weapons from that time—swords and bows instead of guns and grenades.

Canon-Typical Violence is an important tag for me because I want to feel immersed in the world I’m reading about.
