From the Greek endo for inside, within. Meaning, of course, the same. E is for Endo is a common T-Shirt worn by cool dudes and galz who like it "inside" rather than outside.

Example 1 - Dude: I had an infection inside my intestines and they had to give me a gastrointestinal endoscopy. I wasnt so much afraid of the pain but rather that I'd like it.
Example 2 - Girl: Wow, the guy yesterday really got endo with me.

Endodontist

a dentist who specializes in the treatment of dental pulp and tissues surrounding the dental pulp. An Endodontist often repairs root canals which were poorly done by general dentist, or performs an initial root canal; in addition an apicoectomy(removal of the tip of the root) may be preformed to treat root decay. he/she may also treat cracked teeth..

I went to see the endodontist today. He performed a 3D scan of my tooth where a general dentist did a root canal. Looks like I'm headed for endodontic surgery tonight.
