n. Word shouted at goths upon encounter, often with accompanying "rock on" hand signals and optionally with the use of other death-related words, e.g. pain, suffering, torture, maim, kill, woe, etc..

Normal person: Hello, goth.
Goth: Hello, normal person.
Normal person: DEATH!!!! DEATH!!!!!!!!!! DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!! PAIN!!! KILL!!! WOE!!! SUFFERING!!!!

Something to be rejoiced. Sure it hurts when it's somebody close, but if nobody died, but people were born, it would get overcrowded, and really suck. If nobody died and nobody was born, in all probability you wouldn't exist, and you are certainly limited to your current family. Eternally.

To fear it is irrational, and a waste of your finite, limited, short time.

If you are, death is not.
If death is, you are not.

Death

An endless race. You start to run as soon as your body starts to form. Some are slow and the race is over quickly. For the fast the race takes time, but know that death is always quicker. That gap will close and you will fall into death's grasp like the billions before you. There are a rare few who refuse to play it's game. They turn and charge at death dodging it's flaying hands. The defiance is powerful, but the game is over quicker.

I have had a good run, but now i shall fall to death's grasp.
