1) a person who insists on taking a picture of every restaurant meal she eats, and uploading it to social media, thus attempting to instill FOMO in her followers; 2) the same person, who slows down the dining process by trying to capture just the right lighting and angle for her picture, then sends the meal back because it "got cold"; 3) still the same person, who causes others to wait for an open table because she is more concerned with her internet image than eating

Indicating a losing or lost cause, with origins in the cooking practice of sticking a fork in meat to determine when done. Also "put a fork in me," "stick a fork in you."
