It originally meant to roast or make brutal jokes about someone in the 70s and even up to today in southern areas in the United States. In the north it takes on a different meaning as jawning means any and everything.

A replacment for any curse word. When used properly, oftentimes people use a different pronunciation for "jawn" with "Jawnt".
