These same individuals are usually at the forefront of claiming that "modern gaming isn't fun anymore".
The term originated from a Twitter/X post from the user @LANDoCUH, posting a video of the character Patrick Star snoring comically with the caption "Niggas when a video game aint got guns or a ball in it". From there, the post was quoted and formed into the "Gun-Ball" term used to describe these individuals today.
