A meme stick doesn't necessarily have the pointy side facing towards the intended target for shooting/mining. If said space ship sandbox has a shield system, be it from the base game or a modification of the base game, Meme Sticks don't tend to have armor. Alternatively, an RP boat is a derogatory term for a ship where aesthetics have been prioritized over function.
